AG Sterling Silver Toning Shampoo is a sulfate-free violet shampoo that cancels brassy, yellow tones in blonde, grey and silver hair while it cleanses. The violet base is designed to neutralize warmth without staining when used as directed.

It works as a maintenance step between toning appointments: use it once or twice a week in place of your regular shampoo, or a little more often when brassiness keeps returning. Massage it into wet hair and rinse. AG cautions against leaving it on overnight as a treatment on porous hair, which is when violet shampoos can tint light hair.

The formula is vegan and cruelty-free, with panthenol and hydrolyzed pea protein in the cleansing base. Pair it with Sterling Silver Toning Conditioner for a fuller toning routine. Made in Canada by AG Care.

Anyone with blonde, highlighted, grey or silver hair that turns yellow or brassy between colour services. It suits both natural silver and lightened hair, and it is gentle enough for colour-treated hair because it is sulfate-free.

It is a home-care product: no mixing or processing time, just a shampoo you swap in once or twice a week. Darker hair without warm yellow tones will see little difference.

Lightened and grey hair picks up warmth from water, sun and heat styling, and the yellow cast shows most on very light shades. Sterling Silver puts a violet toning step into an ordinary wash, so you can keep blondes bright and silver hair crisp between salon toners without a separate gloss or mask. Because it is sulfate-free and AG recommends it only once or twice a week, it fits into a colour-care routine without stripping hair.

Massage Sterling Silver Toning Shampoo through wet hair and work it into a lather.
Rinse well.
Use 1 to 2 times per week, or more often for persistent brassiness. Use your regular shampoo on the other days.
Don't use it as an overnight leave-on treatment, especially on porous hair.
