Biolage Color Last Purple Shampoo is a low-pH, violet-pigmented shampoo for blonde, highlighted and lightened hair that neutralizes brassy and warm yellow tones while it cleanses. Micro-dosed violet pigment sits opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so each wash cools and brightens blonde and enhances its dimension between salon visits.
Unlike some toning shampoos that leave hair rough, this one also conditions: the formula includes soybean oil, a fig fruit and leaf extract, and conditioning polymers, and Biolage says it keeps blonde hair healthy and conditioned until the next appointment.
- Neutralizes brass and unwanted warm tones on lightened hair
- Low pH to cleanse without stripping color
- Leave on 3 to 5 minutes, then follow with Color Last Conditioner
- Vegan, paraben-free and mineral-oil-free; Leaping Bunny approved
Biolage recommends it as a weekly step rather than an every-wash shampoo. If too much tone is deposited, the brand says it washes out in about three shampoos. The cleanser contains sodium laureth sulfate and sodium lauryl sulfate. Available in 13.5 oz (400 ml) and 33.8 oz (1000 ml).
