Sebastian Professional Drench Intensely Hydrating Conditioner is a rinse-out conditioner that gives dry hair deep moisture, detangles it and calms frizz, leaving strands silky, soft and moving freely. It is the second step of the Drench routine, after Drench Hydrating Shampoo.

The cream is built on fatty alcohols and a behenamidopropyl dimethylamine conditioning agent, with rice bran oil and jojoba seed oil in the mix. Sebastian says it softens dry hair without weighing it down, and the easier combing makes hair more manageable to style afterwards. The tube is marked chemically treated friendly.

Work it through towel-blotted hair, concentrating on the ends or wherever hair feels driest, then rinse well.

Dry, frizzy or tangle-prone hair that needs real moisture, including chemically treated hair (the pack is marked chemically treated friendly). It is a rinse-out conditioner for everyday home use.

It is the moisture step of the Drench system. Instead of a light rinse, it is meant to leave dry hair noticeably softer and easier to comb and style, with frizz calmed and movement restored.

Remove excess water from hair. Work into the hair, concentrating on the ends or the areas that need more conditioning. Rinse thoroughly.

Pros: deep moisture and slip for detangling; calms frizz; Sebastian says it softens without weighing hair down.

Cons: contains parabens; a rich moisture conditioner can be too much for oily roots, so keep it to the mid-lengths and ends.
