Redken Naked Gloss Lightweight Shine Oil is a finishing hair oil from the Acidic Color Gloss range that seals in moisture and smooths the cuticle for a glass-like shine, without a heavy coating or greasy feel. Its 18% glossing complex combines fatty acids and omega-9 from apricot kernel oil with triglycerides and low-viscosity silicones that melt into the hair.
Redken measures 130% more shine compared with unwashed hair, and 90% of testers agreed it leaves no visible residue. It also protects against heat styling up to 230°C (450°F), so it can go on before the blow-dryer or flat iron as well as on finished hair.
- 130% more shine (versus unwashed hair)
- 89% agreed hair colour kept its vibrancy after 4 weeks
- Heat protection up to 230°C / 450°F
- Light, “naked” feel on all hair textures
It is meant for natural hair and for hair with demi- or permanent colour, and works on straight, wavy and curly textures alike. The 3.4 oz (100 ml) bottle has a pump, so a small dose is easy to measure. It layers with other Redken leave-ins; Redken suggests the Acidic Color Gloss Heat Protection Treatment on damp hair, then Naked Gloss once dry.
