Nioxin System 3 Shampoo + Conditioner Duo pairs the System 3 Cleanser Shampoo with the System 3 Scalp Therapy Conditioner, built for color-treated or otherwise chemically-treated hair that's dry or damaged and showing light, early-stage thinning. That's a different profile from Nioxin's System 2, which targets natural, non-color-treated hair with more advanced, progressed thinning - System 3 is meant for hair that's been processed and is only starting to thin.
The shampoo gently cleanses the scalp of excess sebum and buildup without stripping color, and the conditioner is a lightweight, rinse-out formula meant to smooth and strengthen strands without weighing them down. Both are formulated with niacinamide, biotin, and panthenol alongside wild mint and peppermint oils, plus botanical extracts including green tea, fennel, sugar maple, lemon peel, sugar cane, and bilberry; the conditioner also includes hydrolyzed silk and kukui (Aleurites Moluccanus) seed oil.
This duo includes only the Cleanser Shampoo and Scalp Therapy Conditioner - it does not include the separate leave-in Scalp & Hair Thickening Treatment that Nioxin also sells as part of its full three-part System 3 lineup.
