Light, platinum and bleached blondes, natural or coloured, who want a cool, ashy result and are fighting yellow or brassy tones between toning appointments.

Because the pigment is strong, it's best for people who can watch the result and adjust how long they leave it on; very porous or damaged hair can grab tone fast.

Yellow creeps into blonde hair between salon visits. A few minutes of this conditioner once or twice a week neutralises it, and because the formula is a proper conditioner with milk proteins and oils rather than a thin toning rinse, hair stays soft instead of feeling dry from toning.

• Use 1 to 2 times a week, after shampooing (ideally with Icy Blond Shampoo).
• Apply evenly to damp hair.
• Leave on for a few minutes, then rinse; leave it on a little longer for a stronger effect.
• Once you reach the tone you want, alternate with a regular conditioner.
• Wash hands after use and clean surfaces promptly, as the pigment can stain.

It visibly cools brassiness in a few minutes and leaves blonde hair softer and easier to comb, thanks to the oil blend. The black pigment gives a more ash, less lilac result than a typical purple conditioner.

The pigment can stain skin, towels and surfaces, and it can over-tone porous ends, leaving them grey or dull if left on too long. It's not meant for every wash, so you'll need a regular conditioner for the other days.
