BOUNCE.ME Curl Shampoo is a moisturizing curl shampoo from DESIGNME that lifts build-up from waves, curls and coils without stripping them, so curls dry with more definition and less frizz.

The formula is built around kukui nut and buriti oils, with passionfruit seed oil and mango extract alongside. DESIGNME describes the cleanse as hydrating and strengthening, and says it makes curls easier to manage. It is recommended for curl types 2A through 4C, and for wavy hair with a medium to thick texture.

DESIGNME states the formula is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, free of SLS and SLES, and safe for colour-treated hair. The BOUNCE.ME scent has floral, amber and coco-de-mer notes. Sold in a 300 ml bottle and 500 ml and 1 L pump bottles.

Anyone with wavy, curly or coily hair who wants a shampoo that removes build-up but leaves curls moisturized. DESIGNME recommends it for curl types 2A to 4C, and for wavy hair with a medium to thick texture.

It is a retail shampoo for regular home use. DESIGNME says all of its products are safe on colour-treated and chemically treated hair. Very fine, straight hair that flattens easily is usually better served by a lighter volumizing shampoo.

Curly and coily hair tends to be drier than straight hair, and a shampoo that cleans well can leave curls rough and frizzy. BOUNCE.ME Curl Shampoo is the first step of DESIGNME's curl routine: it clears the scalp of oil and product while kukui nut and buriti oils put moisture back into the lengths, so curls come out of the shower softer, more defined and easier to style. It is made to pair with BOUNCE.ME Curl Conditioner, though DESIGNME says it can be mixed and matched with other conditioners.

Wet hair thoroughly. Take a quarter-sized amount of shampoo and spread it evenly in your hands.
Apply to the roots and massage the scalp to work up a lather.
Keep massaging the roots for 1-2 minutes to lift build-up, then rinse thoroughly.
Repeat if needed to remove excess oil or build-up.
