Biotop Professional 19 Pro Silver Shampoo is a violet-pigmented purple shampoo that neutralizes yellow and brassy tones in platinum, blonde, silver, white and grey hair. It cleanses gently while leaving hair softer, shinier and cooler in tone.

The violet pigment (CI 60730) sits opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so it cancels out the unwanted warmth that builds up in light hair between toning services. Glycerin, vitamin E and calendula extract help keep the hair and scalp hydrated, and conditioning polymers reduce frizz and make hair easier to comb after washing.

Biotop describes the formula as colour-safe, vegan and free of SLS, SLES, parabens and sodium chloride, and cruelty-free. It works on natural grey and white hair as well as on highlighted or bleached blonde.

Lather 2 to 3 pumps into wet hair, leave for 1 to 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly. For a subtler effect or very porous hair, dilute it with water or shorten the time. Sold in 330 ml, 500 ml and 1 litre sizes.

Blonde, platinum, silver, white and grey hair, whether natural or colour-treated, that has started to look yellow or brassy.

It suits home use between salon toning appointments. Very porous or freshly lightened hair picks up violet pigment quickly, so first-time users should start with a short contact time or dilute the shampoo. It is not designed for darker hair colours.

Light hair tends to drift toward yellow between toning services. 19 Pro Silver deposits a small amount of violet pigment with each wash, which counteracts that warmth and keeps blonde, silver and white hair looking bright and cool for longer.

It also carries glycerin, vitamin E, calendula extract and conditioning polymers, so hair is left soft and manageable rather than dry after toning. Pair it with the 19 Pro Silver hair mask or hair oil to keep the tone even from wash to wash.

Wet hair thoroughly.
Dispense 2 to 3 pumps into your hands, lather with water and massage into the scalp and lengths.
Leave on for 1 to 2 minutes. For a subtler result or on very porous hair, dilute with water or shorten the time.
Rinse thoroughly.
Follow with the 19 Pro Silver hair mask or your usual conditioner.
