Biotop 09 Clarifying Shampoo is a balancing shampoo for oily scalps that removes excess sebum and build-up, using Epilobium fleischeri extract and azelaic acid to help slow how quickly the scalp gets greasy again.

Biotin, panthenol, niacinamide and hydrolysed yeast protein round out the formula to keep the scalp comfortable and the hair soft. The aim is a scalp that stays fresh for longer and hair that feels clean, light and full, without the stripped feel of a harsh degreasing wash.

Massage into wet hair and scalp and leave on for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing, so the actives have time to work. It is free of SLS, SLES and parabens, colour-safe, vegan and cruelty-free according to Biotop. Note that it does contain sodium chloride.

For oily scalps and hair that goes flat quickly

Suitable for regular use and for colour-treated hair. Dry or brittle lengths should follow with a conditioner.

Washing oily hair more often tends to make the problem feel worse. This shampoo is built around sebum-balancing actives and a short leave-on time, so the scalp is treated, not just cleaned. Over regular use the goal is longer between washes and less flatness at the root.

Apply a generous amount to wet hair
Massage gently into the scalp and through the lengths
Leave on for 3 to 5 minutes
Rinse thoroughly and repeat if needed

For the best oil control, give the shampoo a few minutes on the scalp before rinsing.
