AG Balance Apple Cider Vinegar Sulfate-Free Shampoo is a gentle everyday shampoo made with organic apple cider vinegar that cleanses hair and scalp and brings back shine. It is part of AG's Plant-Based Essentials range, and AG describes the formula as 98% plant-based and naturally derived.
The Canadian-made organic apple cider vinegar, which AG says helps balance scalp pH, is joined by argan oil and a long list of what AG calls nourishing superfoods: aloe, apricot, peach, apple, sweet almond, millet, linseed, olive leaf, rosemary and arnica. The scent comes entirely from a blend of plant-based essential oils, so it smells fresh with a light hint of apple rather than vinegar.
Balance is not a harsh clarifier. AG designed it to be mild enough for daily use while still lifting light product and hard-water build-up.
