It is not intended to treat an existing fungal infection or athlete's foot, since it doesn't contain an antifungal drug ingredient (Gehwol sells a separate medicated "Gehwol med" line with clotrimazole for that purpose).

Rather than relying on plain talc or a heavier cream base, this powder pairs a tapioca-starch-and-zinc-oxide base with bisabolol for a lighter, silkier feel while still targeting moisture and odor in a spot — between the toes, inside closed shoes — where those are the main day-to-day complaints, without the medicated actives (and their more clinical use case) found in Gehwol's antifungal foot powder line.

Apply a small amount to clean, dry feet, focusing on areas prone to moisture such as between the toes. For extra freshness through the day, it can also be lightly dusted into socks before wearing.

The tapioca starch base gives a fine, silky powder feel that absorbs moisture without the heavier, sometimes-irritating feel of plain talc, and zinc oxide plus bisabolol are included specifically to support skin comfort rather than just mask odor. It's free of parabens and aluminum, and Gehwol states it's suitable for people with diabetes. On the downside, it contains added synthetic fragrance (parfum), which isn't ideal for anyone with fragrance-sensitive skin, and — importantly — it's not an antifungal treatment, so it won't address an active fungal infection the way Gehwol's separate medicated foot powder is designed to. As a loose powder, it can also be messier to apply than a cream or spray.
