Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Soufflé is a curl-defining gel built for curly and coily hair (roughly type 3A through 4C), using certified organic shea butter, coconut oil, and flaxseed oil as its hold and moisture base instead of a silicone- or alcohol-based formula. Hold comes from natural humectants like agave nectar and flaxseed oil rather than film-forming plastics, so it defines curls without the stiff, silicone-coated feel of a typical drugstore gel.

Because it's humectant-based, it works differently depending on how it's applied: on soaking-wet hair it gives a tighter, more defined curl and stronger hold, while on damp hair it gives a looser wave with lighter control.
