Sebastian Professional Drench Hydrating Shampoo is a moisture-boosting cleanser for dry, dehydrated hair that tends to frizz. It is the first step of the Drench routine: it washes hair gently while helping to replenish moisture, so strands come out soft, supple and moving freely rather than rough or puffy.
The lather is rich and creamy. Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), glycerin and a guar-based conditioning agent sit alongside the cleansers, and dimethicone adds slip and softness through the lengths. The bottle is marked colour and chemically treated friendly, so it can be used on coloured, permed or relaxed hair.
The cleansing base uses sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate, so it is not a sulfate-free shampoo. For the full routine, Sebastian pairs it with Drench Intensely Hydrating Conditioner.
