Freeze sits in the middle of the OSiS+ Hold range: firmer than Elastic, lighter than Session. It suits almost all hair types and lengths, and it's the everyday choice for blow-dries, curls and updos that need to last the day but still brush out cleanly.

It's a finishing spray applied to dry hair, so there's no mixing or technical skill involved, whether in the salon or at home.

Freeze is the balanced option in the range: it holds a style all day while staying brushable and flake-free, so you can still brush through at night or reshape during the day.

• Style hair as usual and let it dry.
• Hold the can about 30 cm (12 in) from the hair.
• Spray in short bursts over the style rather than one long stream.

Strong control from a medium hold is the key point: Freeze keeps hair in place through the day, yet it brushes out and doesn't flake. Heat protection up to 230°C / 450°F and a vegan formula round it out.

It won't hold a highly sculpted style against wind the way the extra strong Session will, and anyone after a very soft, movable finish may prefer Elastic. It contains alcohol and a fragrance blend with several listed allergens.
