The specific advantage over a plain strong-hold gel is that this one doesn't sacrifice shine or movement for hold — the silicone layer is doing real mechanical work to keep a level-3 hold gel from looking or feeling like hardened product once it's dry.

Apply to towel-dried or damp hair, working the product in from roots toward ends. Blow-dry with a round brush, concentrating heat at the roots, to build and set volume.
