Redken Acidic Moisture Concentrate is a professional, salon-applied leave-in booster from Redken's Acidic Bonding Concentrate system, built around a 10% glycerin base to replenish moisture in dry, damaged or color-treated hair. It's one half of a two-product pair — the other being Acidic Protein Amino Concentrate — that lets a stylist customize a client's treatment toward moisture, protein, or a blend of both in the same salon visit.
After shampooing, the stylist assesses whether the client's hair needs moisture, protein, or a mix of the two. Used alone, up to 15 ml (three 5 ml doses) is applied to towel-dried hair; if protein is also needed, it's blended with Acidic Protein Amino Concentrate so the combined total still doesn't exceed 15 ml. It's left on for five minutes, not rinsed out, and followed with Redken's Acidic pH Sealer to complete the service. Redken states the formula delivers up to two times more moisture in a single use, and positions it as suitable for color-treated hair within the broader system.
Because it's dosed by the milliliter and designed to slot into a specific in-salon protocol, it functions more like a formulation component for a stylist than a stand-alone take-home leave-in — it's built to be measured, optionally mixed, and paired with the rest of the Acidic Bonding Concentrate line rather than used in isolation.
