19 Pro-Silver Oil is a violet-tinted hair oil made to counteract the yellow or brassy cast that develops in platinum blonde, gray, white, and silver-toned hair, used either before blow-drying or as a finishing oil on dry strands.
The purple tint comes from a cosmetic dye (CI 60725) suspended in a mostly silicone base — cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, and cyclohexasiloxane make up the bulk of the formula, giving it a lightweight, non-greasy slip that smooths the cuticle against frizz and static. Vitamin E and sunflower and chia seed oils round out the ingredients, though the formula overall leans synthetic rather than plant-based.
