ORS Olive Oil Neutralizing Shampoo is a chelating shampoo used specifically after a chemical relaxer service, not as an everyday shampoo. Its job is to neutralize the alkaline relaxer and clear the calcium buildup it leaves behind on the hair and scalp, using a stronger sulfate-based cleansing system than a typical daily shampoo would need.

Olive oil, aloe, and hydrolyzed collagen are included to offset the drying effect of that neutralizing process, but the core function is post-relaxer cleanup, and it isn't meant to replace a regular shampoo in daily or weekly rotation.

For hair that's just been chemically relaxed, whether in a salon or with an at-home relaxer kit — used as the neutralizing step immediately after processing, not as a general everyday shampoo.

Left-over relaxer and the calcium it deposits can keep processing hair and irritating the scalp if it isn't properly neutralized. This shampoo's chelating system is built to clear that residue specifically, which a standard shampoo isn't formulated to do.

Wet hair, apply shampoo, and work into a lather; rinse thoroughly. Apply a second time and leave the lather on for two to three minutes before rinsing thoroughly again. Towel dry.
