Apply a protective base cream to the scalp, hairline, and ears before starting, to reduce irritation from the relaxer itself. Apply the relaxer in sections, starting with the most resistant areas first and working toward the hairline last, keeping it off the scalp as much as possible. Time the application using the chart included in the kit together with a strand test, and never exceed the recommended time. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, then shampoo with the included neutralizing shampoo — repeating as needed to fully normalize the hair's pH — before finishing with the included olive oil replenishing conditioner.

Pros: the no-lye (calcium hydroxide/guanidine carbonate) chemistry is generally considered gentler on the scalp than a lye relaxer, and the Full Application sizing means one kit covers a complete head rather than requiring a separate touch-up purchase. Comes with matching neutralizing shampoo and an olive oil conditioning treatment built into the kit, rather than needing to buy those separately.

Cons: as a whole-head relaxer, it's the wrong choice for a simple root touch-up on already-relaxed hair — applying full-strength relaxer over previously processed lengths risks over-processing and breakage; ORS sells a separate New Growth kit for that. Chemical relaxers carry real risk of scalp irritation or hair damage if timing or application technique isn't followed carefully.
