Blacklight Neu:Blu Blue Conditioner is a blue-pigmented toning conditioner from Oligo's Blacklight Blonde Science line, made to cancel orange brassiness in dark blonde, highlighted and light brown hair while it conditions.

It is the second step after Neu:Blu Blue Shampoo. Used together, Oligo says the pair removes up to 100% of brassiness and refreshes highlights that have faded warm. The blue pigment does the toning; the conditioning side comes from squalane, moringa oil, açai extract and argan oil, which soften the hair and smooth its surface so it looks shinier and combs out easily.

On the label Oligo recommends it for highlighted, coloured and natural blonde hair as well as light brown hair. It is not recommended for platinum blonde hair, which is better matched with the violet version of the line. Very porous or pre-lightened hair can grab pigment, so the brand suggests diluting it with the Blacklight HYD or REP conditioner if needed.

Oligo states the formula contains no sulfates, salts, parabens, formaldehyde, MI/MCI, gluten or animal by-products, and is not tested on animals. Made in Canada.

Anyone with dark blonde, highlighted, balayaged or light brown hair that turns orange or coppery between colour appointments. Oligo recommends it for highlighted, coloured and natural blonde hair as well as light brown hair.

It is a consumer take-home product, but the label still asks for visual supervision while it sits. It is not recommended for platinum or very light blonde hair; those shades are better served by the Neu:Vio violet conditioner, which targets yellow rather than orange.

Brassiness on darker blondes and light brown hair is orange, not yellow, and blue is the shade that cancels it. Using the Blue Conditioner after Neu:Blu Blue Shampoo adds a second, gentler pass of pigment while the hair is being conditioned, so the cool result lasts longer and the ends stay soft rather than dry. Squalane and the moringa, açai and argan oils help hold moisture and smooth the cuticle, which also makes the tone read brighter and shinier.

Apply generously to clean, damp hair after shampooing (Oligo pairs it with Neu:Blu Blue Shampoo, but it can be used after any shampoo).

Distribute evenly with a comb and leave on for 2 to 5 minutes, then rinse. Processing time is a guideline only, so watch the hair while it sits.

On porous or pre-lightened hair, dilute with Blacklight HYD or REP Conditioner if needed. May stain nails. For external use only; avoid contact with eyes.
