Applied to dry hair and massaged into the scalp for several minutes, the formula deep-cleanses and leaves the scalp feeling refreshed, soothed and balanced. Nioxin notes that a clean, exfoliated scalp is better prepared to receive the treatments that follow in your routine.

Brush and comb dry hair.
Apply the exfoliator directly to the dry scalp, working section by section in a grid-like pattern and covering the entire hairline.
Massage gently into the scalp in circular motions for 5 to 6 minutes.
Leave on for 3 minutes.
Rinse the product thoroughly from the scalp, then continue with your usual shampoo and treatment routine.

Use once a week. Wearing gloves during application is optional but recommended by Nioxin.
