Fusion is inspired by spider silk, one of nature's strongest fibres. Its Silksteel Technology combines silk amino acids with micronized lipids that Wella says penetrate the hair cortex, refilling the fibre at micro and macro levels and helping protect it from further damage. Each step also contains a Metal Purifier against metals in tap water and is formulated without microplastics.

Used together, the shampoo and conditioner give up to 95% more resilience against breakage from combing and mechanical damage compared with a non-conditioning shampoo, according to Wella. The conditioner detangles with a 1-2 minute leave-on time, and the mask is a 5-minute treatment for extra smoothness and shine.

The fragrance is a floriental woody blend with rose, white flower and pear. A good gift for anyone whose damaged hair snaps when it is brushed or combed.

  • Shampoo: apply to wet hair and distribute evenly over the scalp. Massage and lather, then rinse. Repeat if needed.
  • Conditioner: apply to clean, damp lengths and ends, leave on for 1-2 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
  • Mask: as step 3 after shampoo and conditioner, squeeze out excess water, apply to mid-lengths and ends, leave on for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
