Biolage Full Rescue Conditioner is a detangling, densifying conditioner for weak, fine strands that break easily. Like the rest of the Full Rescue range, it's micro-dosed with steam-distilled rosemary oil and triple-purified niacinamide, here at 12 micrograms per 100 ml according to the pack.

It conditions gently enough for thin hair, makes combing easier so less hair snaps while detangling, and gives strands a denser feel. Biolage also says it helps balance the scalp and is suitable for colour-treated hair.

Massage through wet hair after shampooing, leave for 1 to 3 minutes and rinse. Sold in an 8 oz (236 ml) tube and a 1 litre bottle.

People with fine, weak or thinning hair that tangles and breaks, especially if you notice snapped pieces after brushing. It suits colour-treated hair, according to Biolage, and works for any hair length.

It's a rinse-out conditioner for home use. It won't treat medical hair loss; for sudden or patchy shedding, see a professional.

Breakage in fine hair often happens during detangling. This conditioner smooths the lengths so a comb or brush glides through, and it delivers the same rosemary oil and niacinamide concentrate as the shampoo so the scalp gets attention too. The result is hair that feels denser and loses fewer strands to everyday handling, without the coated feel heavier thickening conditioners can leave.

After shampooing, massage the conditioner into wet hair. Leave on for 1 to 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Use after Full Rescue Shampoo; follow with the Full Rescue serum or leave-in spray if you use them.

Pros

  • Detangles well, which matters for fragile hair that snaps under a comb
  • Light enough for fine hair when rinsed properly
  • Colour-safe according to the brand
  • Matches the Full Rescue shampoo's actives for a consistent routine

Cons

  • Very dry, coarse or curly hair may want something richer
  • Fragrance allergens are listed (limonene, linalool, coumarin, hexyl cinnamal)
  • A cosmetic product: it improves breakage and feel, not hair growth
