Matrix A Curl Can Dream Moisturizing Cream is a leave-in styling cream for curls and coils that adds moisture and definition without flaking or crunch. It is infused with manuka honey extract, with avocado oil and camelina seed oil in the formula.

It is the first styling step in the A Curl Can Dream routine: apply it to soaking-wet, clean hair from root to tip, working section by section, then layer the Light Hold Gel if you want more hold and finish with the Lightweight Oil. Matrix says it can be used daily or whenever you restyle. It is formulated without silicones, parabens, mineral oils, petrolatum and paraffins.

Curly and coily hair that needs a moisturizing leave-in to define the pattern, especially drier, denser curls and coils. Matrix says it can be used on all curl and coil types.

It is a retail product for home styling. Loose waves may prefer the lighter Scrunch N' Go Defining Spray.

Defined curls start with moisture, and on coils a gel applied on its own can leave hair dry and stiff. This cream is the moisture layer in Matrix's system: applied to soaking-wet hair, it helps curls clump and stay soft, and it's built to sit under the Light Hold Gel without flaking. Being silicone-free, it rinses out cleanly on wash day.

After cleansing and conditioning, start with soaking-wet hair.
Apply from root to tip, sectioning as you go.
For more hold, layer A Curl Can Dream Light Hold Gel on top.
Style as usual; once dry, A Curl Can Dream Lightweight Oil can soften the finish.
