All hair types and textures, 1 through 4c, that need deeper conditioning than a regular rinse-out gives. amika tailors the routine to porosity: high-porosity hair (often coloured, bleached or heat-styled) can use it as a daily conditioner, and normal or low-porosity hair as a weekly mask.

It is an at-home, rinse-out treatment and is suitable for colour-treated and chemically treated hair.

Soulfood is amika's all-rounder mask: rich enough to soften dry lengths, but tuned so it does not flatten finer hair. Its main appeal is flexibility. The same product can be a quick daily conditioner for porous, processed hair or a once-a-week treatment for hair that holds moisture well, and it comes in a 100 ml tube, a 250 ml jar or a 500 ml jar depending on how often you reach for it.

After shampooing, apply through the hair.

Leave on for 5 to 7 minutes, then rinse.

High-porosity hair: use as an everyday conditioner. Normal or low-porosity hair: use once a week as a treatment.
