amika Hydro Rush Intense Moisture Mask is a whipped, silicone-free rinse-out hair mask with hyaluronic acid and squalane, made for intensely dry, coarse and low-porosity hair (types 2a to 4c). It is meant as a weekly treatment used in place of conditioner.

In amika's clinical testing, one use left hair 5x more hydrated, 5x easier to comb and hydrated for five straight days. The whipped base is built from fatty alcohols and behentrimonium chloride for slip, with shea butter, squalane and rapeseed, coconut, sea buckthorn and sesame oils for softness. Hyaluronic and polyglutamic acid bring water into the strand, and panthenol and vitamin E are also in the formula.

It is safe for colour-treated hair and for keratin, Brazilian and other chemical treatments. For hair that needs conditioning but is not especially dry or coarse, amika suggests its Soulfood mask, which is made for all hair types.
