Licensed stylists running Redken's Acidic Strength Concentrates treatment. It is used on clients with damaged or over-processed hair, including colour-treated hair, as the final step after the protein and/or moisture concentrate.

It is a professional backbar product, not a stand-alone retail treatment.

The concentrates do the repair work, and the pH Sealer is what locks that work in. By bringing the hair back to an acidic pH right after the treatment, it closes the cuticle around the protein and moisture just applied and adds shine, which is why Redken calls this step non-negotiable in the service.

Professional use.

1. Shampoo and towel-dry the hair.
2. Apply the chosen dose of Acidic Protein Amino Concentrate and/or Acidic Moisture Concentrate (no more than 15 ml total) and leave on for 5 minutes without rinsing.
3. Spray 10-15 pumps of Acidic pH Sealer throughout the hair and work it through for about 1 minute.
4. Rinse thoroughly and style.

Pros:

• Low pH of 3.0-4.0 helps close the cuticle after the concentrate step
• Adds instant shine to the finished service
• Quick to apply as a spray, with no extra processing time
• Suitable for colour-treated hair

Cons:

• Designed only to follow the Acidic concentrates; it does little as a stand-alone product
• It is rinsed out, so it is not a leave-in shine spray
