Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Leave-In Treatment is a no-rinse conditioning cream that finishes the Acidic Bonding Concentrate bond-care routine, combining a 5% Bonding Care Complex with citric acid to reinforce weakened bonds in chemically processed and heat-styled hair.
The pack describes it as intense conditioning, heat protection and a styling aid in one step. Redken built it for demanding, processed hair: colour-treated, lightened or regularly heat-styled lengths that feel rough, frizzy or prone to snapping. Conditioning silicones and fatty alcohols smooth the cuticle, while the acidic formula is designed to help counter the effects colouring, lightening and heat styling have on the hair fibre.
It also protects against hot tools up to 230°C (450°F), so it can go on before blow-drying, flat ironing or curling without a separate heat spray.
Redken's own results for the leave-in used on its own, compared with a non-conditioning shampoo:
- 2x less breakage
- 10x smoother hair
- Up to 88% visible reduction in split ends
Work it through the lengths and ends of clean, damp hair after shampoo and conditioner, leave it in, and style as usual. It pairs with the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo and Conditioner, which come before it in the regimen. 150 ml tube.
