amika The Kure Intense Strength Repair Mask is a rich weekly rinse-out hair mask for dry, damaged hair, clinically shown by amika to make hair 5.6x stronger with 82% less breakage and 9.2x more conditioned after a single use. It is the mask formerly sold as The Kure Intense Bond Repair Mask.
The mask pairs amika's bond fortifying technology with a dense conditioning base of shea and mango butters, borage seed oil (from starflower seeds, and high in omega-6), sea buckthorn oil, panthenol and hydrolyzed quinoa. The texture is thick and creamy, meant to be worked through wet hair after shampooing and left for ten minutes.
amika recommends it for all hair types from 1 to 4c with damage and dryness, and especially for high-porosity hair. It has been clinically tested as safe for colour-treated hair and is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free and keratin safe. Note that the formula contains dimethicone, so it is not a silicone-free mask.
