Joico Curls Like Us Smooth & Bounce Curl Hydrating Foam is a light, airy curl foam that enhances your natural curl pattern with a lightweight hold, for waves, curls and coils. Joico says it reduces frizz and locks out humidity for up to 72 hours (compared with untreated hair in high humidity), leaving curls hydrated and bouncy.

The formula is built around a vegan protein made from pea and vegetable proteins, which is meant to mimic the protein found naturally in hair, plus moringa seed oil (a source of antioxidants and vitamins A and E) and algae oil (a source of omega 9). It's silicone-free.

Size: 6.7 oz (200 ml) pump foam. It isn't a heat protectant; in the Curls Like Us line, the Curl Crème Styler and the Define & Seal Gelée are the ones that give thermal protection.

For wavy, curly and coily hair, all curl types according to Joico, when you want bounce and definition with only a light hold. It's a good choice when a gel or heavy cream would feel like too much.

Smooth & Bounce keeps the hold light so curls move and spring back, and still gives up to 72 hours of humidity resistance. Because it's a foam, it spreads evenly through soaking-wet hair, and it layers under the other Curls Like Us stylers when you need more definition.

Shake the bottle well and pump foam into your hands. Scrunch, rake, smooth or pulse it through soaking-wet curls; the hair should be wet enough that you hear a squish. Follow with your favourite Curls Like Us styler if you like, then let hair air-dry or dry it with a diffuser.
