Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo is a sulfate-free strengthening shampoo for damaged, colour-treated hair, pairing a gentle, creamy lather with Keravis protein and the antioxidant astaxanthin to fortify strands that have been weakened by colour services, heat or styling.

Pureology describes it as its fortifying cleanser for damaged hair and says it delivers 2x stronger strands in one use. The formula removes dulling residue without sulfates, leaves hair softer, and carries the brand's Antifade Complex, which uses sunflower seed extract, a UV filter and vitamin E to help keep colour vibrant between salon visits.

Made for hair that is damaged, brittle or prone to breakage, especially hair that has been coloured, highlighted or otherwise chemically treated, or stressed by regular hot-tool use. It works on any length and is sold for both women and men.

Because it is a strengthening formula with conditioning agents, very fine hair that is not actually damaged may find a lighter shampoo a better everyday choice.

Most repair shampoos either clean gently or add strengthening ingredients; Strength Cure is built to do both for hair that has already been compromised by colour or heat. Keravis protein and astaxanthin work on strength while the Antifade Complex protects the colour you paid for, and because it is concentrated and sulfate-free it can be used every wash without stripping. It is the first step of Pureology's Strength Cure system, designed to be followed by the matching conditioner.

Apply a small amount to wet hair at the roots. Massage into a lather, then rinse. Repeat if needed.

Follow with Strength Cure Conditioner. For extra care on very damaged hair, Pureology suggests adding a Strength Cure treatment to the routine.
