Its strengthening formula is designed to fortify fragile, lightened hair and help it hold on to colour, and it includes Pureology's Antifade Complex. The scent is a blend of pear, peony and vanilla. It is a creamy rinse-out conditioner rather than a purple toning formula, so it is used for softness and manageability, not for cancelling brass.

This listing is the 8.5 oz (250 ml) bottle in the original serious colour care packaging. Perfect 4 Platinum is no longer part of Pureology's current range; the brand's blonde care line today is Strength Cure Blonde.
