Joico Defy Damage Protective Shampoo is a daily cleanser for damaged, chemically treated or colour-treated hair, built to support hair bonds and help colour last. It is formulated without SLS/SLES sulfates and works up a rich lather that lifts dirt, oil and buildup without roughing up the cuticle or stripping colour.

The formula pairs arginine, an amino acid Joico uses to help strengthen and renew hair bonds, with moringa seed oil (a source of antioxidants, vitamins A and E, zinc and silica) and a protective lipid meant to act as a first line of defence against heat, chemical, styling and UV damage. Joico's SmartRelease liposomes release rosehip oil, arginine and keratin over time.

Used with the rest of the Defy Damage system, Joico reports 80% less breakage, 5X stronger hair and more than 90% of colour vibrancy kept after 10 shampoos.
