Paul Mitchell Hot Off The Press Heat Protectant is a flexible-hold thermal spray that helps protect hair from flat irons and curling irons up to 450°F (232°C). It was formerly called Hot Off The Press Thermal Protection Hairspray and is now sold in Paul Mitchell's refreshed packaging.

Rice hull extract builds a lightweight barrier between the hair and the iron. The humidity-resistant, frizz-fighting formula also gives light, flexible hold, so a second pass after styling helps lock in curls or a sleek, straight finish.

Instead of a separate heat protectant and finishing spray, Hot Off The Press does both: it shields hair from iron heat with a rice hull extract barrier and then doubles as a light-hold, humidity-resistant spray to lock the finished style in place.

Spray onto dry hair before using a flat iron or curling iron.
Let it dry, then style with your iron.
Spray again over the finished look to lock it in.
