AG Deflect Fast-Dry Heat Protection is an ultra-light pump spray for damp hair that protects against heat up to 160°C (320°F) during blow-drying and helps hair dry faster. It contains AG's CARE Complex and Abyssinian oil to add smoothness, slip and shine while helping protect and extend the vibrancy of hair colour. 148 ml (5 fl oz).

Shake well, spray it generously through damp hair, then blow dry. AG recommends it on damp hair before the dryer rather than on dry hair.

The CARE Complex pairs sunflower seed extract with a polyphenol blend from lavender, marigold, pine tree leaf, carnation and red clover. Free of drying sulfates, vegan and cruelty-free.

Anyone who blow-dries regularly and wants a light heat protectant that won't weigh hair down. It's especially relevant to colour-treated hair, since AG formulated it to help protect and extend colour vibrancy.

It suits fine hair that collapses under heavier creams. It is a blow-dry protectant: for flat irons and curling irons hotter than 160°C / 320°F, a higher-rated product such as AG Firewall is the better choice.

Deflect is a blow-dry protectant first: it goes on damp hair, adds slip so the brush moves through easily, and is formulated to speed up drying, which means less time under the heat. What sets it apart from a basic thermal spray is the colour care. AG's CARE Complex of sunflower seed extract and flower polyphenols is there to help colour-treated hair keep its vibrancy through repeated blow-drying.
