Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo is a sulfate-free, vegan shampoo formulated for damaged and color-treated hair, built around Pureology's Keravis (a hydrolyzed vegetable protein) and astaxanthin (an antioxidant derived from Haematococcus pluvialis algae) to help fortify strands weakened by heat, chemical services, or color processing.

The cleansing base uses gentle, sulfate-free surfactants — sodium cocoyl isethionate, disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, coco-betaine — in place of sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate, so it lathers more mildly than a typical drugstore shampoo. Pureology's Antifade Complex, which includes a UV filter, is layered in to help slow color fading, and the formula carries the brand's signature raspberry, peach, and water-flower scent.

It's a rich, protein-forward formula best suited to hair that's genuinely damaged, chemically processed, or color-treated; fine, oily, or minimally processed hair may find it heavier than needed.
