milk_shake Silver Shine Shampoo is a purple toning shampoo that uses violet pigments to neutralize unwanted yellow and brassy tones in grey, white and blonde hair, natural or colour-treated. It cleanses while toning, and the longer it's left on, the stronger the toning effect.

Milk proteins condition and strengthen, organic berry extracts (blackberry, raspberry, blueberry and strawberry) support overall hair health and give a light fruity scent, and Integrity 41® helps protect colour from fading. milk_shake recommends using it about once a week and alternating with another shampoo once you reach the tone you want.

Anyone with light blonde, grey, silver or white hair that turns yellow or brassy between services, whether the colour is natural or salon-created.

It's a take-home toning shampoo, but it does need judgement: timing controls the result, and porous hair can over-tone.

Brassiness creeps into light hair through washing, sun and water. A weekly wash with Silver Shine counters it, keeping silver, white and blonde tones bright and cool while milk proteins keep the hair soft.

Distribute evenly over damp hair, lather and rinse. Repeat if necessary.
For a stronger result, leave on for a few minutes before rinsing, then apply Silver Shine Conditioner for 2 to 5 minutes and rinse well.
Use about once a week. Once you reach the tone you want, alternate with a different shampoo.
The pigments may stain: wash hands after use and wipe surfaces promptly.

Worth it for:
