Hydra Source Conditioning Balm is a rinse-out conditioning treatment from Biolage made for dry, dull, or rough hair, including curly and coily textures and color-treated hair. It's built around fermented aloe and hyaluronic acid, with aloe leaf juice and passionfruit juice appearing directly in the ingredient list alongside the conditioning agents that do the actual smoothing and detangling.

Biolage's own site states the shampoo-plus-balm-plus-leave-in system delivers up to 6x more hydration after one use compared to a non-conditioning shampoo. The balm is meant to be smoothed through wet hair after cleansing and rinsed out after one to three minutes rather than left in. It's vegan and cruelty-free certified, but its ingredient list includes methylparaben and ethylparaben as preservatives, so this is not a paraben-free formula.
