Joico K-PAK Intense Hydrator is a moisture treatment for dry, damaged, or frizzy hair, built with shea butter, keratin, guava fruit extract, and evening primrose oil. It's a separate product from Joico's K-PAK Reconstructor — the Reconstructor is a protein treatment aimed at rebuilding structural damage, while Intense Hydrator's job is replenishing moisture and sealing the cuticle, and the two are often used together rather than interchangeably.

Used two to three times a week, it's meant to make extra-dry or over-processed hair noticeably softer and more manageable without the heaviness of an oil-based mask.
