The Denman Thermo Ceramic Straightening Brush (D79) is a non-electric styling brush, not a heated flat iron -- it pairs a vented, ceramic-coated pad with natural boar bristle so it can be used alongside a hand-held hair dryer to smooth and straighten hair during blow-drying, rather than generating its own heat.
The ceramic coating on the vented pad is designed to absorb and hold heat from the blow dryer's airflow, helping distribute it evenly through each section of hair, while the vents let warm air pass directly through to the hair for faster drying. The boar bristle woven through the pad grips and smooths the hair shaft as it's pulled through, adding shine and taming the cuticle in the same motion used to straighten it. The brush measures 255mm in length with a 45mm pad, sized for controlled, section-by-section styling rather than covering the whole head in one pass.
Because it depends on a dryer for heat rather than an internal heating element, it's best suited to medium-to-long hair that's wavy or has a mild curl pattern and needs smoothing during a normal blow-dry, rather than very tightly coiled hair that typically needs the higher, sustained heat of a flat iron to fully straighten.
