Amika Power Hour Curl Refreshing Spray is a leave-in mist made specifically for wavy, curly and coily hair (roughly types 2A through 4C), designed to revive second- and third-day curls between wash days rather than to define curls from wet hair alone. Water-based and built around glycine soja (soybean) germ extract, sea buckthorn fruit/seed oil and amodimethicone, it rehydrates strands that have gone dry or frizzy overnight and helps re-form curl clumps without a full rewash.
It isn't formulated for straight hair — its job is specifically to reactivate curl pattern, seal in moisture and calm frizz on textured hair, so it won't add curl or texture where none already exists. It can also double as a light styling base sprayed onto freshly washed, wet curls underneath a curl cream and gel before diffusing.
It's formulated without sulfates and is color-safe, so it can go into a daily routine on color-treated curls without accelerating fade, and because it's a liquid spray rather than a heavier curl cream, it's easy to use for spot-refreshing just the crown or hairline in the morning instead of restyling the whole head.
