American Crew Liquid Wax is a men's hair styling product that combines the control of a gel with the finish of a wax, giving medium hold and medium shine. It is applied to towel-dried hair and can be restyled through the day without a stiff or tacky feel, and it washes out with ordinary shampoo.

The formula is built around synthetic film-forming polymers (acrylates/acrylamide copolymers) rather than traditional waxes such as beeswax, lanolin, or carnauba, and it does not contain a heat-protectant ingredient.
